The Freaky Baby Daddies

Conceived and cultivated in Brooklyn, The Freaky Baby Daddies are a musical brotherhood that started in 2010. The band consists of: Aakhu Ali on vocals/percussion, Jafe Paulino on guitar, Olatunji Ojore on drums/percussion and Martell Akade on bass. The FBDs' sound is an experimental mixture of African rhythmic concepts infused with alternative rock textures and the youthful and captivating energy of hip hop.

They have graced stages such as SOBs, The Shrine, Sullivan Hall, Brooklyn Bowl and Bowery Poetry Club to name a few and have played shows with such artists as Ghetto Metal's own Bazaar Royal, Jojo Abott, Digital Diaspora, Azania, Viva La Mayday, MuthaWit and most recently, Living Colour.

During the spring of 2014 the band was honored to be chosen to record their single "Fees Your Ego" at Brooklyn's Converse Rubber Tracks Studio. The group is currently working on their new album "Freakquency" which is set for release in the Fall of 2016. For more info on The Freaky Baby Daddies you can visit:
